The water intake structures channel the water of Garigliano River into the plant, to use it as a “vector” for the liquid radioactive waste (service water) and to feed the fire protection system.
The restoration works of the water intake structure are nearing completion, along with the restoration of the water taking and filtration systems, the removal of the pool sludges and the transfer to external facilities for treatment and recycling.
