The collection tanks, built according to the VIA Decree of 2009, enable the collection and treatment of the run-off waters of the coated sediments resulted from the plant operating period and from decommissioning activities, to discharge them according to law.
IIn the plant there are six rainwater collection tanks, supplied with wastewater de-oiling and sand removal systems. In case of rain the tanks fill with water, which is treated, controlled and discharged in Garigliano river.
