The “Waste Route” is a structure connecting the turbine building, the reactor building and the auxiliary building. The executive project has been approved.
Its implementation is necessary for the dismantling of vessel and reactor systems, since it will enable the handling of resulting materials produced during dismantling.
The latter will be sent to the Materials Management Facility, located within the turbine building and operating since 2009, to be segmented and decontaminated; or, they may be directly sent to the Waste Management Facility, currently under implementation.
The operation has an expected duration of 3 years (2019-2021).
