Transparency Table of the Piedmont Region on the National Repository

The first information meeting of the Transparency Table of the Piedmont Region, convened by the Councillor for the Environment Matteo Marnati to discuss the National Radioactive Waste Repository and the Technology Park, was held this afternoon in digital mode.
Sogin, together with the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (Ispettorato Nazionale per la Sicurezza Nucleare e la Radioprotezione, ISIN), illustrated the project for the National Repository, the National Map of Potentially Suitable Areas (Carta Nazionale delle Aree Potenzialmente Idonee, CNAPI) for hosting the infrastructure and the criteria applied in its drafting.
In addition to representatives of the Authorities, Local Bodies and associations of the area affected by the presence of nuclear sites in the decommissioning phase, the Region also invited representatives of the Local Bodies (Provinces and Municipalities) whose territories contain potentially suitable areas as identified in the Map to participate in the Table.
