Trino power plant: continued EMAS registration confirmed

Sogin has obtained the annual confirmation of registration from the Ecolabel and Ecoaudit Committee of the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) for the Trino nuclear power plant. This result is testament to the attention paid to stakeholders and protecting the environment, fundamental elements of the company's mission.
The validation of the Environmental Declaration by an external verification entity and approval of the Ecolabel and Ecoaudit Committee demonstrate the commitment of complying with the best environmental management standards, in accordance with the EC Regulation 1221/2009, as amended by EU Regulations 1505/2017 and EU No. 2026/2018.
The Environmental Declaration specifically describes the decommissioning and waste management activities, company management system, environmental aspects and performance of the Vercelli site, with data updated for the whole of 2024. The preparation of the Declaration was made possible thanks to the synergy and fruitful collaboration between head office and site company structures.
