Sogin meets delegation of South Korean experts

South Korea recently started the decommissioning of KORI 1 nuclear power plant, equipped with a PWR reactor, with technological characteristics similar to Trino nuclear power plant, that a delegation of 15 Korean experts from academia and industry will visit next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, today, the meeting between Sogin and the Korean delegation coordinated by Hanynag University took place in Rome. This meeting allowed an exchange of knowledge on the activities carried out in decommissioning and radioactive waste management sector, also in view of possible future collaborations in the sector.

The meeting was attended by the CEO of Sogin, Mr. Luca Desiata, who underlined the importance of international cooperation, promoted by the Company within IAEA and OECD/NEA, hoping for the development of concrete collaboration initiatives in the short term.
