Sogin renews the invitation to the National Seminar summarizing the modalities of participation

23 September 2021

Because of the forthcoming territorial sessions, Sogin considers it beneficial to provide some information on the procedures for participation in the National Seminar launched on 7 September.

The National Seminar is open to all parties indicated in Legislative Decree no. 31/2010, including employers and trade union representatives and those who took part in the public consultation process by regularly submitting comments and technical proposals.

The parties were invited by letter sent on 10 August 2021. They will be able to register until 30 September, thanks to an extension that will benefit those who intend to send written memoranda and documents to Sogin at the email address consultazionepubblica@pec.depositonazionale.it

Each session will include an hour in which Sogin will comment on the comments and technical proposals received and leave the rest of the space for discussion. These comments will, in any case, be published on the website www.seminariodepositonazionale.it at least 4 days before each territorial session, as a further commitment of the Company in terms of transparency and sharing of information.

During the meetings, the participants can make speeches lasting 10 minutes to encourage comprehensive and homogeneous participation. All citizens can follow the proceedings through the live streaming available on Sogin's website and Youtube channel, and actively participate by writing, during the meeting, to domande@seminariodepositonazionale.it. The questions received will be grouped by themes and reproposed live during a dedicated Q&A session.

This series of meetings is part of a large Italian public consultation that Sogin is carrying out with the utmost transparency, providing the most complete information also through the website www.depositonazionale.it, to give a substantial contribution to the process of localization of the area where the infrastructure will be built.

The National Seminar, divided into nine sessions of several days to allow everyone to express their position, will end on 15 December with the publication of the comprehensive report of the work that will end on 24 November.

Before the conclusion, it is planned to add a "catch-up" session to facilitate the participation of those who could not benefit from the extension of the deadline for registrations.
