Sogin joins the UN Global Compact

Sogin adheres to the
UN Global Compact, the United Nations network created to spread the culture of sustainability within companies worldwide, through the integration of the
ten principles of sustainability into corporate strategies and activities, which are universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. The UN Global Compact operates in Italy through the UN Global Compact Network Italy (UNGCN Italy).
This endorsement testifies to Sogin's overall commitment to continue along its path towards sustainability by comparing and sharing experiences with other member companies. The company embarked on this journey a long time ago, and since then has been reporting annually on progress made in its Sustainability Report, which led this year to the adoption of the Sogin Group's first sustainability plan.
The Global Compact is also committed to advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid down by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda. Sogin has long contributed to their achievement through its daily activities for the decommissioning of Italian nuclear plants and the safe management of radioactive waste, in a constant relationship with the territories in which it operates.
