Sogin and a contractor reach an agreement settling a dispute over the Cemex construction contract

Sogin and the Teorema Consortium reached an agreement, disclosed and implemented by the Judge hearing the case at the Court of Rome, which settles all legal disputes between the parties concerning the contract for the construction works of the Cemex Complex at the Eurex plant in Saluggia (VC), and provides for payment of a consideration of EUR 10 million in settlement in Sogin’s favour.
This agreement follows the full recovery of the contractual advance payment, which Sogin had disbursed in 2021 to the contractor, for a total amount of EUR 32.1 million.
The agreement will help restarting the Cemex project, for the implementation of which bids are currently being submitted for the new tender launched on 5 April, confirming the commissioner body's commitment to pursuing the goals of the programme for the acceleration of Sogin's institutional activities.
