National Seminar, the territorial sessions start from Sicily

With the Sicily Region, the works of the National Seminar dedicated to the individual territories interested in the localization of the National Repository and Technology Park have started.
This is a series of 6 meetings involving the Regions, such as Sicily, which have identified areas potentially suitable to host the infrastructure.
The working day, moderated by
Iolanda Romano, an expert in participatory processes and public debate, consisted of two parts.
In the morning, experts from various fields contributed with insights on several aspects related to the National Repository and Technology Park:
Mario Dionisi, Technical Coordinator of the radioactive waste service of
ISIN (National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection),
Nadia Cherubini, President of
Nucleco,
Andrea Pola, Coordinator Nuclear Section of the
Department of Energy, Polytechnic of Milan, e
Fabio Chiaravalli, Director of National Repository and Technology Park of Sogin. The afternoon session was dedicated to the discussion with stakeholders, with the contributions of qualified stakeholders.

According to the modalities indicated, the subjects invited to participate can register for the working sessions within 30 September 2021. By the same deadline it is possible to contribute to the discussion by sending to Sogin memoranda and documents, according to the modalities indicated on the website depositonazionale.it, which will be considered in the work of the Seminar.
