Information Note – TRISAIA site

On 24 September 2024, the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Ordinary Court of Potenza – Anti-Mafia District Directorate – notified Sogin that the preliminary investigations relating, in particular, to the management of the contamination found at the Enea-Sogin site in Trisaia since 2015, had been completed.
Sogin reiterates that this contamination was not generated by the ongoing dismantling operations at the Trisaia Site and that Sogin immediately reported this to the relevant authorities as soon as it become aware of it.
These circumstances have been extensively verified during the various Service Conferences that were held since 2015, and are fully consistent with the correct conduct interpreted by a State Company, whose main purpose is the protection of the environment, which comes before any logic of profit.
In full application of its institutional mandate and in compliance with the international experience it has gained over the years, Sogin will continue to carry out operations to secure the area and dismantle Itrec, whilst at the same time fully cooperating with the Judicial Authority.
