28 February 2024
On Monday, 26 February, the
inauguration ceremony of the 1st and 2nd level international Master’s in "Protection against CBRNe events" was held, organised by the University of Rome Tor Vergata, which Sogin has partnered since 2014.
Based on the collaboration agreement signed with the University, certain Sogin employees will participate in the Master’s and it will be an important opportunity to consolidate their skills as "Decision Maker CBRNe Advisors" in different sectors, such as the numerical analysis for planning interventions in the event of emergencies, decontamination and remediation, risk prevention or communication and information in the event of CBRNe events.
The agreement with Tor Vergata University developed through the activities of the Radwaste Management School, the training centre of the Sogin Group that ensures high-level professional refreshers courses and promotes managerial and technological innovation based on experience and specialist know-how consolidated over time in the nuclear decommissioning and waste management sectors.
This CBRNe Master's Degree represents an initiative with a high training value for the Country System, thanks to the participation of institutional partners such as the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Civil Protection Department, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Enea, INGV, the ISS, the Armed Forces, the Police, the Carabinieri and the Fire Brigades.
