Transparency Table - Piedmont Region

The 26th edition of the Regional Nuclear Transparency Table was held on 26 February 2025 at the Transparency Room of the Piedmont Region Skyscraper. The meeting was convened and opened by the Regional Councillor for the Environment, Matteo Marnati, followed by greetings from the Director General for the Environment, Angelo Robotto.
During the meeting, Sogin management illustrated the decommissioning and radioactive waste management activities of the three sites in Piedmont at Saluggia, Trino and Bosco Marengo and provided updates on the siting process for the National Repository and Technology Park, focusing specifically on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) procedure currently underway.
The meeting was also attended by Arpa Piemonte, with the Director General Secondo Barbero, and the Head of the Ionising Radiation and Nuclear Sites Facility Mauro Magnoni, who highlighted the institutional monitoring and control activities carried out by the Agency. Also present were representatives of local environmental institutions and associations, as well as a delegation from the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ISIN) via a video link, with the Director, Francesco Campanella.
At the end of the presentations, stakeholders from the territory provided their contribution. The questions and related answers will be published in the
