The "Memorandum of Cooperation for the Promotion of Environmental Sustainability aimed at the Implementation of Best Practices in the Reclamation Sector" was signed this morning by the Extraordinary Commissioner for the Reclamation of Illegal Landfills, Giuseppe Vadalà, and the CEO of Sogin, Emanuele Fontani.
The aim of the memorandum is to promote collaboration as to the reclamation of illegal landfills in Italy to ensure the protection of the environment, the preservation of the land and the safeguarding of communities. Indeed, Sogin will provide the Extraordinary Commissioner with the expertise of its technicians and the best instruments required to provide support, where necessary, in environmental reclamation activities, also through the involvement of its subsidiary Nucleco.
With this memorandum, Sogin confirms its mission as a public company focusing on the safety of citizens and the protection of the environment, as well as its commitment to sustainable development, with particular regard to the achievement of Goal 15 – Life on Land – of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
